The latest National Series event took place at Oxford on 3rd/4th August.

Cheltenham Archers members Ashe Morgan and Sean Evans were both in contention during the weekend, Very high cross winds dogged the weekend, making shooting very demanding.

To quote the ArcheryGB report –

“Oxford archers organised a magnificent shoot, and I can’t compliment them enough for a fabulous weekend.

“Unfortunately they couldn’t influence the weather, and the wind played havoc with us. But, as ever, archers proved a hardy bunch and coped admirably.”

Your Editor, who was also shooting, can confirm we strength of the cross wind – Shooting at 90m, aiming at the right edge of the target, the arrows were missing the target at the left side !!!!!!

Ashe Morgan took his second win of the series, and although there is still a round to be shot, National Target Championships, He has booked his place in the series final at Nottingham in September.
