Frostbite Shoot, 6th January 2013.

Well what a day !!!!

A great turnout of club members shot in our traditional New Year “tournament”

The weather was kind, 32 club members enjoyed a jelly bow “longbow” shoot of 3 dozen arrows at 30 yards.

We were over seen by Field Captain, Edward Kain, who did an excellent job of keeping the rowdier element under control !!!

So why so many keen archers? was it the shooting ?, the comradeship?, the need of exercise ?                                NO  –    it was Jamies fantastic venison stew, not only Jamie of course, Thank You – Pam and Anna !!!

Our spirits were raised still further by some very nice Sloe Gin and Elderflower Spirit

There was fresh bread, cheese, macaroons, Jackie provided two trays of home-made fantastic festive themed cup cakes, also many thanks to Brian for running the kitchen.

Finally, the least important part of the day, the results –

Ladies First Place – Mavis, Second Place – Anna

Mens First Place Jamie, Second Place Andy.

Thank you all for making this such a special day, for helping to set out and put away the targets, and

being great company.

I think we can look forward to a vintage 2013.
