Oakleaf Field Diary until 14th September.

The next two and a half weeks will be very busy at Oakleaf Field, and if you are planning to go there for a spot of practice, you might like to know the following:

Thursday 4 September, Field closed between 10.00am and 11.00am while we mark out for the Horace Ford.

Sunday 7 September, Horace Ford Two Way Western Longbow Tournament in the afternoon, setting up from 10.30am.
Field closed all day – Attached is an entry from for anyone interested.

Wednesday 10 September, the imperial half of the Field will be closed for a “Have a Go” session for the Cheltenham WI.
The metric range can still be used.

Friday 12 September, Field closed between 10.00am and 11.00am while we mark out for the GAS Junior Championships.

Saturday 13 September, Field closed all day for the Gloucestershire Junior Championships.
We shall be setting up in the morning from 9.30am, Assembly is at 12.00 noon.
We are not running this, but we are hosting the event.
Further details available on their website:  www.glosarchery.co.uk
After the Tournament is over, the Field will be left set up for shooting National Rounds, ready for the Final Bow Meeting next day.

Sunday 14 September, Cheltenham Archers Final Bow Meeting.
Assembly 1.45pm, Sighters at 2.00pm.
Rounds are Nationals, Short Nationals, Junior Nationals, Short Junior Nationals.
This a Members Only shoot, ideal for any new Member as their first foray into tournament shooting.
The Club has a collection of very handsome trophies which are competed for at this event each year,
and which are presented at the AGM, which will be on Wednesday 24 September, in the Club House at 7.00pm.
No formal Entry Forms are required for The Final Bow Meeting, you can just turn up on the day and shoot.
However, it would be of great assistance if you could let either Jackie Bowser or me know if you plan to come,
so that we can have the Field set beforehand with the right number of targets, and I can print the right number of score cards.
