Bath Ashes – 3rd August 2019

Cheltenham Archers Wanted!

In 2007, Cheltenham Archers and Bath Archers both celebrated their 150th anniversaries with an inter club shoot.  The score cards were burned and placed in an urn, henceforth known as our ashes trophy.

Every year since we have upheld this tradition of shooting against Bath Archers to see which club will hold the trophy for the following year.

This year, we have challenged Bath, the current holder, to defend the ashes at Oakleaf Field on Saturday 3rd August and it would be great to see as many of our club members, regardless of experience, there to support the club.

The shoot will be a National round (4 dozen at 60 yards followed by 2 dozen at 50 yards). We’ll build our energy levels back up afterwards with a barbecue, before announcing which club gets the ashes until summer 2020.

Please let Jeff ( know if you are able to attend.
