Cancelled Easter Bunny Tournament Still Raises Money for Charity
Cheltenham Archers always holds it’s annual charity tournament, the Easter Bunny, on Easter Monday. However, this year’s tournament had to be cancelled due to covid-19, like so many others that we were all looking forward to.
On informing entrants of the bad news they were given the option of a refund of their entry fee or for it to be donated to Linc, the charity that would have benefited from the proceeds of the tournament.
Very generously, many entrants chose for their entry fee to be donated. Cheltenham Archers has also contributed to donation and this has meant that, despite the tournament not going ahead, the archery community has raised £505.
The below letter has been received from Linc, confirming receipt of the funding and how the money will help their valuable work.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the archers who decided to donate their entry fee to help this fantastic charity. More information about their brilliant work can be found by clicking the link below.
