Easter Bunny Charity Shoot 2017

The 2017 Easter Bunny Charity Tournament was held at Oakleaf Field on 17th April. Cheltenham Archers hosted 86 archers from neighbouring clubs (and some a bit further afield) with the aim of raising money for the Gloucestershire Kidney Patients Association, and of course having a great afternoon of shooting. And great it certainly was with two UK records claimed and one equalled!

The results list can be found here.

Well done and a big thank you to all the archers who took part. Congratulations go to all those who won trophies and medals, particularly to the days’ record-breakers!

A big thank you go to all of those who helped to make the day a success. Specifically all of those who helped to set up the field prior to the event; the field party who worked hard all afternoon reuniting archers with their arrows; our judges – Adrian Gifkins, Richard Jones, Malcom Wootton and Graham Kent; the catering team – Mandy and Mike – who kept everyone well fed and watered; Joanna Allen who who kindly made cakes to keep the participants’ sugar levels up; to our Lord Patron, Mr Abbott, chairman of the GKPA; and to Emma Lynch who made a spectacular cake (pictured below), which was shared out during the prize giving.

A particularly special thank you to Edward Kain, the Easter Bunny tournament organiser, who did a wonderful job. This was Edward’s last tournament as organiser and, as always, it was a spectacular success, raising £500 for the Gloucestershire Kidney Patients Association.
