Welcome!

We’ve relaunched www.cheltenhamarchers.net with a fresh new look, new features and new ways to keep in touch. We’ll still be adding new stories and messages as often as possible so read on to find out how you can stay up to date with us.

 

There’s plenty to see on the new site, but below are a few pointers to the main parts of the site that we hope you’ll find useful.

 

Firstly, the site is new, and will continue to improve. We have a feedback page available, and we’d like your thoughts, be they praise, ideas, questions, or problems you’ve found. The feedback form can be found by clicking the tab on the very right hand side of your screen.

Just click on the heading that fits your comments, type in what ever you want to say, add a short summary and a contact email address and click submit. Simple, but very much appreciated.

Secondly, it’s important that you follow Cheltenham Archers in a way that suits you. So, if you’re happy checking the website regularly, then please do so. However, you’ll find each new post on the website can be also be found by Liking us on Facebook, Following us on Twitter, or subscribing to our RSS feed. All the links are in the top bar of the website (along with a search box if you’re looking for something specific). We’ve also added a link to FITA’s ArcheryTV channel on YouTube (worth a look if you have a few minutes to kill!)

 

Front Page

The front page contains all the latest Club and Junior Club News, displaying the most recent 5 articles in a full image slider at the top of the page. To see older posts, there are additional pages linked at the bottom of the first page. Specific Junior News can be accessed from the Juniors menu bar, whist general Club News can be found in the same menu under News Archive.

 Sidebar

Members of Cheltenham Archers can login to the website and access certain areas of the website that are not available to the public. This can be done using the Login Panel on the top of the right-hand sidebar.

You’ll also find upcoming events (see Calendar), a QR code (see Mobile), and other useful items of information.

 

Calendar

Here you’ll find the important dates for your diary. This includes Cheltenham Archers tournaments, other relevent tournaments, and any other dates we feel you might need to know about. Click on an event to see all relevant information.

Clicking Agenda will allow you to change the view to Posterboard, Month, Week or Day, whilst clicking on the Categories button will allow you to filter the calendar to specific types of events.

Finally, at the bottom of the page, you can click Subscribe to add our calendar to iCal or Outlook, or Subscribe in Google Calendar if you prefer to use Google’s service.

Other Sections

The rest of the site should be self-explanatory – there’s information for Beginners, for Members, and for the Junior Club too. Have a look around, and please remember to use the feedback form if you have any comments.

 

Mobile Theme

Finally, we hope you’ll keep up to date with Cheltenham Archers even when you’re not at a computer. As already mentioned, you can do so with Twitter, Facebook and RSS, but when you do go to the website, you’ll notice it’s formatted specifically for smartphone browsers.

If you don’t want to type the URL in, then there’s a QR code to scan in the sidebar.

If you want to see the normal view, then scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the switch to turn off the mobile theme.
