In the men’s competition, Larry Godfrey beat Rick van der Ven of the Netherlands 6-4 but could not get past Brazil’s Bernardo Oliveira. Bair Tsybekdorzhiev of Russia just edged Ashe Morgan out of contention, 11th seed Taylor Worth of Australia ended Patrick Huston’s ambitions and Kieran Slater fell victim to Japan’s Ayumi Iwata.

Ashe is a member of Cheltenham Archers

Kieran is a member of Bowmen of Minchinhampton

Larry is a member of Cleve Archers, Bristol

Patrick is not from Gloucestershire !!!!!
